Biography

In the quaint town on the west coast of France, my entertainment journey began as an 8-year-old crafting myself a video camcorder... from a shoebox and a honey pot lens.

Despite lacking on-screen distractions in my childhood, an inexplicable draw to movies and entertainment fueled my creativity. A pivotal moment occurred in 1994 when Jurassic Park mesmerized me, and a Kids Magazine on Digital Effects sparked an enduring passion for the artistry behind filmmaking. In high school, my creativity flourished through self-made documentary and fictional movies, setting the stage for what seemed like an inevitable path into the world of entertainment.

However, in 2002, I diverted from my creative fervor, opting for an international business school over a cinematic pursuit. While business school wasn't film-focused, it equipped me with structures and management practices invaluable in this business. My drive to create remained! I led the video club (and made plenty of terrible shorts), delved into the technicals of VFX via my thesis, and traveled widely throughout my studies. All of this set me apart early on.

Fast forward to my first VFX studio roles. I managed my early high-profile clients like Coke, Disney on commercials first and honed my project management on complex workflows and tight deadlines. Quick learning was essential!

Running my own studio during a financial crisis? Not ideal timing! But the experience turned me into a resilient, solution-driven producer. Despite the odds, we completed 7 movies (for StudioCanal, Pathé, Lionsgate) and dozens of commercials. From sales to operations, I gained firsthand knowledge of every aspect of the industry.

Drawn back to the energy of larger projects, I moved abroad and excelled as Senior VFX Producer and later Head of Production with an international team. We even snagged an award for our Game of Thrones work! Yet, something was missing. I craved more involvement in the storytelling process itself.  While surrounded by visual brilliance, I taught myself screenwriting – because great stories have always been my driving force.

Since 2019, I've thrived as a 'client-side' series/movie producer, bringing passion and a well-rounded skillset to projects I wholeheartedly believe in. From developing concepts to negotiating financing to hiring directors, I love that balance of  creative and management challenges. That's what I do best.

Today, whether crafting pitches or shaping scripts, I'm closer than ever to the  wonder I felt as a child crafting a makeshift camera out of a shoebox. Life's journey took me on some detours, but everything I've learned – from intercultural communication to managing a multi-million-euro budget – makes me the versatile, adaptable producer I am.

Tl;dr : I took a winding path to film production, but that journey is why I excel. Childhood passion for cinema met adult business schooling – an odd combo, I know!  This gave me a unique toolkit for production, where  creativity and budget realities matter.

Over 20+ years, I've held production roles on diverse projects, proving my fluency navigating studios, freelance work, and the international stage.
